Sorry, I have been dragging my feet on this one for a bit, just that life has been hectic, and every time I’ve tried to sit down and write this. Something else came up, so without further delay. Let’s get into a figure that is one of the stronger releases of the United Wave: Cybertron Starscream.
The Stats:

Bought at: Target
Paid: about 22 bucks before tax with a discount I had on hand.
TL:DR: A solid figure that has a dynamic range of motion and small little details that allow the character to pop out leading to an excellent figure.
This version of Starscream is not the one of the G1 days, he began as a warrior who was more focused on honor than treachery. However over time that changed with him being killed, reborn as a near mindless weapon, and then blackmailed/conditioned into service of Megatron. Only to finally be free of that control...and go classic Starscream, look it took a bit but everything old is new again at some point.
However, what may be more interesting was the slow change to his design aesthetic through the Unicron Trilogy. If you look at his Armada form it is very much an anime plane even in the vein of Macross. However, a little comic book came out around this time also: The War Within a comic book that took the idea of time on Cybertron and put all the original characters in new more alien-like forms instead of normal earth-bound vehicles. Starscream got upgraded in Energon into a new style with some sleeker more angular traits to his body. This version is Cybertron is more like the War Within than Energon style was, in some ways walking right out of it.

So, on this alone, the figure wins as I don’t think I can say no to anything Figurora designed. The little details on this guy really pop out at me, as pointed out by the time of Cybertron anime, Screamer was back to the classic ego mode. The smug look on his face is present and just adds that final stamp onto an already great-designed figure. While I am sure at some point we will get the rest of the Seeker crew (and I may bite who am I kidding.) I hope they change the head sculpt cause it fits the colors so well, I don’t know if it would on the other ones. But that is just a thought from me on that.
Posing and Transformation
Pose-wise, you can get a lot out of him as well, he can do some really dynamic poses and also looks good in both flight and on the ground, one thing I’ll mention is the shoulder pads as we’ll call them can move down to his arms, so it opens up some Wolverine like poses, but also makes more sense as the blades are well blades. You’d get more use out of them on your arms instead of shoulders for combat purposes.

The transformation between jet and bot mode is smooth and quick, it has a nice flow you’d like to have with a transformer, and everything slots right and moves just right. You don’t need to take things off they can all stay on as you transform. It’s a nice little thing I wish more figures did instead of setting bits aside and putting them on later.

I think my only complaint is the joints on mine feel a little “loose” but not like it can’t hold a pose, maybe it was meant to be this way but it is something to keep in mind, it isn’t too stiff, but it feels like over time it’ll lose some of its posing.
Accessories
Accessory he is kind of eh, if we count the pads from earlier we could make it 4 accessories, but if you count them as part of the body it’s really only two: his gun and cyber key that does nothing but looks like a plot device...like the show…
Final Thoughts:
I don’t see this figure out as much in the stores as I did a few weeks ago even, but if you find one don’t miss the chance to own it, it is a solid little figure that has a lot of great posing ability and it’ll look good in any display you got of figures.
