Art Commissions
And how I am trying so hard to sell you my stuff!
Hello, this is my little attempt to make a Commission board but different. This is not my first time offering my services of Character Design, Illustration and doodling. My usual format or way of promoting is through social media.
My usual posts are the Commission charts with a simple format of sizes, styles and a little bit of what I am offering.
It’s a simple way of showing a bit of everything that I can create. I still go with the same prices but when it comes to Illustrations with more details and character it does go up in price ( obviously because it’s more work and more detail).
Most of the commissions I work on are usually character design, original characters, and of sorts. I love working on those because I enjoy making a different look of characters for other people, much like my characters I treat them with the same love they deserve. I don’t make a lot of FanArt because I don’t really work on fanart myself, I do mimic styles for sure, it’s not hard it’s a matter of studying the style and making it with your own twist.
Another popular one, with the popularity of Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming platforms is the EMOTES.
It’s a thing that was new to me but I always enjoyed working on them, they are fun and easy but sadly in this market… some are a lot more detailed and even animated. Sadly my animated abilities need some work and also I need the program for it, but for flat and attractive emotes, I am game for them.
With more of the Streamers, I also worked on PNGTubers, which is a very simplistic yet effective way to create your personal character for streaming Videos, Gaming, Podcasts, and other ways that many of us have used over the last few years.
The most popular ones from my end are in “Chibi” style ( stylized smaller version of a character) which makes it easy to work and also easy to add on more details, such as outfits, expressions, and other details.
Why is it so hard to get any work now?
I’ve been doing for a long time this sort of promotion on my arts and services for as long as I had, at least, my digital tablet ( since the oldie one till my newer more fancy one) because I enjoy working on it, and for me to work as a main income is very VERY hard… nobody really tells us how much promotion you need to work for it to actually work and flourish. Besides being a part that is VERY VEEERY active in the art community you have to be super social for that to even remotely work.
I also have a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design so I know my way in the art business more than I want it…
The simplest way for me to make myself be seen, and I hate doing it… is REQUEST SEASON. Which to be perfectly honest is just throwing away work to people who don’t want to pay for art and will demand a complicated artwork from it.
I play it differently and end up making it work, for my advantage.
I did a bunch of ugly free artworks that I made while streaming live the process, turned out to be the most popular streams on my end, so I think I will try that once more if possible sooner than later. I got to know people and it was amazing, some of them stuck around… some of them grabbed their pic and left to never support me again, but the artwork was there in their feed… and it helped me grow my base.
But anyway, how can I convince more people to get them to trust me to make their art come true, their little treat in the eyes, bring their character to life, or maybe just a funny doodle for a friend or whatever?

I’ve tried to put as much as possible from my new stuff, the artworks that I worked so hard to make and I worked so hard to get better at doing. There is a lot of progress that I did not expect to see but after 3 years of nonstop work, I think I can admit that My style has grown, not perfect but it’s my style.I did work also in my story of Seasons where I wrote and illustrated all the covers and little pics narrating the story, it’s my passion project that am still working on to this day, soon will finish the first part! Another project that my husband and I have been working on pair, and it’s a heavier one because, besides artwork, character design, and illustrations, I also did the graphic design of logos and other details.
So… now…?
